Retail TrainingEffective, consistent and professional training has been a key ingredient in the success of Bakers Delight's Traineeship Program with Futurum.

Futurum currently provides Bakers Delight with Certificate II and III in Retail Traineeships and Food Safety Training, all expertly managed by Futurum’s dedicated project manager. Both new and existing Bakers Delight workers have been involved in the training, which in Victoria alone has involved 300 staff.

Bakers Delight and Futurum are equally committed to high quality training, effective assessment and national consistency. Futurum and Bakers Delight have a close working relationship and effective systems that enable an identically high level of service in each State and Territory. Futurum’s professionalism in delivering innovation and best practice was recently recognised by the Victorian Government awarding the ‘Innovative Approaches to National Training Delivery’ tender based on Best Practice of National Training Delivery. This recognition is derived from our project management of Bakers Delights’ National Retail Training.

Bakers Delight research shows that 86 per cent of trainees experienced real benefits from participation in this training program. Many acknowledged that the additional knowledge gained from the training helped them to feel more competent in their job role even where they had been in the role for some time.

Futurum makes the process of training and developing Bakers Delight staff a seamless experience . The successful partnership with Bakers Delight is testament to the commitment of both organisations to work together to achieve a shared mission—to help people be the best they can be. Participants in the Traineeship program receive training on-the-job in either small groups or one-on-one and the Food Safety Training in small groups off-the-job.

Training was customised to meet the specific needs of Bakers Delight including company jargon, customer service policies, induction requirements, company procedures and culture.
