Quality training for Caroma

Manufactured Mineral ProductsFuturum Australia developed the skills of 12 Caroma staff through the Certificate II in Manufactured Mineral Products as part of Caroma's commitment to continuous improvement.

Caroma is a leader in providing bathroom products in Australia with a variety of manufacturing operations across several states.

"We've been very satisfied with Futurum's training," said Neil House, QAf Training Manager with Caroma.

"Futurum arranged our program with minimal disruption to the workplace. The process has been wonderfully smooth and has assisted us greatly by removing the burden of running the program through TAFE that was taking too long and required staff to go off-site. Our organisation benefited by the increased knowledge people developed about other departments. All participants learnt something, as well as gained recognition of their existing skills.

Importantly, Futurum Australia's training is fully accredited so at the end of the program each participant received a nationally recognised certificate qualification. Our people were as "proud as punch" to receive their certificates which we framed and presented in a special ceremony, It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise staff achievement," continued Neil.

Quality and safety principals are often more readily accepted and identified as good practice when reinforced by an external trainer. This willingness to accept change and be more flexible is just one of the advantages resulting from training, along with staff increased confidence.

The skill competencies of the training program are applied in the work context, so learning is enhanced for everyone because all the participants are performing these skills and are not just being told how to do it. In some instances we're formalising knowledge that people have already learned on-the-job, and are reinforcing the company procedures.

Take advantage of Futurum's customised training to help your people be the best they can be.
