Empowering Shire Staff
Employees from Mornington Peninsula Shire recently graduated from Futurum Australia's traineeship program which has not only motivated staff but is part of a broader Shire strategy to protect their greatest asset.
"We have seen an increase in staff motivation as a direct response to this training. people have been recognised for their skills and the organisation as a whole has a greater learning focus," says Lisa Mills, Team Support and Development Officer - training Mornington Peninsula Shire.
"The best thing about the training is that it is delivered in the workplace. This not only saves our staff from attending off site training sessions but ensures training is applicable to their day to day roles," continued Lisa. Through ongoing training Shire staff have now gained a nationally recognised qualification, which has renewed their confidence in their skills as well as learning new skills."

Futurum Australia provided 17 Mornington Peninsula Shire staff with Certificate III level courses in Financial Services and Information Technology (Software Operations).
Futurum's trainer in Business and Financial Services, Cath Plamer, says the Shire trainees were 'a dynamic team operating in a positive working environment'. Futurum's training is flexible and accommodates the needs of individual staff. One-on-one training sessions were generally held once a month with some group sessions where required,
